Usual Good Week

Perhe!

Gosh everyone is just killing it, wait till I get home before you all start becoming famous prodigies without me! haha. Skype is in less than 2 weeks, I can’t believe it. The plan is set to be talking through Google Hangout at 5pm Finland time on Sunday, March 15th for 40 minutes. Good? That will be 2 days after I get my last transfer call so you will get to know where I am spending my last transfer! Though I think I am staying in this ward in Helsinki, but we will see.
I am looking forward to hearing about Korea and hopefully getting some pictures, have fun! It was a good week this week, as it usually is. We have been meeting a few pretty solid investigators, one of which is really working towards a baptismal date in June. I have a possibility of seeing a baptism before I leave! How exciting :) And he is a Finn! So that is awesome. He is really great and loves reading the Book of Mormon and finding inspiring verses.
Yesterday we had a neat experience while teaching a new investigator from the Congo. Of all the many Africans I have taught throughout my mission, my heart just went out for him. He told us how lost he is with living here in Finland and being told that God doesn’t exist and that school, money, a girlfriend or a good job is what brings you happiness.  Well, after he has done all of those things and every "if you do this, then you will be happy" statements of the world, he expressed deep sorrow to us of his reality-that he has never been able to find true happiness. It was heartbreaking to hear but an amazing testimony to me of the message of hope we have. What a beautiful moment it was to tell him of the love God has for him, that it is never too late to turn to Him, and that there is actually a way in this life to be truly happy- Mosiah 2:41. He was so grateful for the message we shared, I can’t wait to teach him more!

I know that happiness comes from following the example of our Savior, I truly know that trying to find happiness anywhere else will just leave us empty. But when we choose to follow God, we can feel filled, forgiven, strengthened, enlightened, and happy. I hope you all have a great week! Love you!!! :)
