HELLO!!!!!  Wow I cannot believe I am almost in Finland!!

This was easily the slowest week so far but I was expecting it to go slow so it didn't bother me too much. I have been working really hard so that I can make this my most productive week and be ready for the field! Thank you so much for the sunshine box, that was amazing!! Haha it was pretty much all my favorite yellow things in one box.

My  P-day in Finland is on TUESDAYS so you won't hear from me again until over a week. Funny story of the week-- while doing laundry on Monday, me and my 2 companions all forgot our keys and if you know the MTC at all, you can’t go ANYWHERE without your key. So we had to wait outside every building for like 15 minutes until someone would come by and open the door for us! It was funny and ridiculous!

 

I am super excited to go to Finland!! I am only worried about getting frustrated and leaving my companions who honestly have become some of my best friends. But I have learned so much here at the MTC. My whole view on missionary work has changed and I am sure it will change even more once I get out into the work! I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve at this time. I have been humbled and my faith has been strengthened to the point where I am simply putting my will in the Lord's hands and hopefully I will be a good instrument to Him. I know the language and the work will be hard but it is so worth it for the possibility of helping someone see that they have a Savior and a purpose in this life! I am trying to improve everyday so I can better understand the Spirit and listen to what other's concerns are. All and all I can’t wait to lose myself in the work!!

Hello Everyone,

This week I sang in church so that was exciting and I got to leave the MTC and go to physical therapy which was nice! It really helped a lot to loosen my back. My body just can't handle all this sitting haha! I will be going again on Tuesday and then I just have one more week until FINLAND! oh my gosh!! I went a little crazy yesterday but luckily God is merciful. I was just super ADD and my brain was bouncing off the walls of the classroom. I think I will be able to make it through these next 10-ish days.

We get our flight plans tomorrow that tell us what time we are leaving! I'm so stoked because I am going to be able to call from the airport with the minute phone mom just sent me. It will be so great to everyone's voice!!

It was a good week, I ate a ton of candy on Valentines day because everyone got a package. I felt so sick after haha... Not a good idea Sister Wunderli.

I am loving the work here. I can't wait to learn so much more in Finland and really lose myself in this great cause! There really is no other opportunity in life quite like this so with God's help I sure am going to make the most of it! It sounds like you all had fun in California, I am glad you are all safe!

Ok, you will NEVER believe what happened this week... just take a guess! I bet you never will guess it!! Ok I will tell you...... This week.... was the same as pretty much every other week here! hahaha got you there didn't I?? I am so funny... :) 

But it was a good week because I got letters and packages! Thanks Grandma Sylvia for the package and thanks parents for that awesome party package, we are going to save the Martinellis for the last day here :) and NATE, thanks for your planner!! I almost cried when I got that! It was just fun to get something from you :) and of course, thanks Ammon, I am addicted to those mini peanut butter cups... but no worries mom, I actually run at least a mile every day and do plenty of ab workouts so I am staying fit!

Actually, my back has REALLY been hurting this week, I might need physical therapy before I leave here. But everything is going well, I am so close to leaving this place! Me and my comps taught a lot of lessons this week and it is amazing how well we work together. Too bad we can't be together in Finland but I guess that is how it goes...We skyped with someone from Finland yesterday which was fun! I am loving the scripture study I am able to do here, I have never loved the Book of Mormon so much before!

It sounds like everyone is doing well. Wish you were all with me!!

Line Upon Line, Precept Upon Precept

Well like all other weeks, everything is the same here.... I hit a wall around Saturday, right at the halfway point and I didn't know if I could last here much longer but luckily I gained my motivation again!  It is amazing that if you just make sure you are working towards something and keep the Lord on your side, you can get through 2 months at the MTC.  Which let me just tell you, it is a challenge!!:)

At the same time I am still extremely grateful for this opportunity to have my own time and be with my companions!  As sister training leaders we have been extra busy trying to make sure the new people are ok.  Class is going well, to give you a sense of how complicated Finnish is, we have learned a new grammar principle every day I have been here... so ya... thats A LOT of grammar principles haha. I think I have a very nice, consistent headache from learning the language. The best part is, I am not too stressed of learning it all now, and the semester of Finnish I took at BYU still proves to help! The best practice is just speaking it and teaching lessons. I know this won't mean much to ya'll but our faux "investigator" we have been teaching for the last month is getting "baptized" on Saturday! Which means we have had to teach a lot of lessons and teach a lot of concepts to her. But it is great being with my companions and being all excited about it even though it isn't real haha. 

Something that kinda shook us up a bit is the fact that one of the Elders in our district is going home tonight... He talked with a counselor and they diagnosed him with severe OCD and ADD. So that is really sad... I am sure God has a great plan for him.

Another week down at the MTC! God is great and the church is true, I couldn't do this without knowing that.
